This incredible pair of vintage shoes is an extremely rare find. They are a pair of 1940s peeptoe 'pinup' heels in cream satin - but what makes them particularly rare is that they a very hard to find larger size UK 6 . 1940s shoes are almost impossible to find above a size UK 4 - so to find a UK size 6 (American 9) is a miracle!

These are a fantastic design in cream silk / satin with a silver-coloured satin section around the bottom of the shoe near the heel, and fabulous dark red satin insoles. `They have a silver leather strap that fastens across the front of the foot with a small diamante buckle. The heel measures 3 1/2 inches and the length of the insole is 10 1/4 inches.

These are vintage shoes and are 60 years old - considering their age they are in very good condition. They are structurally very sound - they do not teeter when you walk like some vintage shoes! The underneath of one sole has been reinforced. They have obviously seen a bit of life in their 60s years and do show some wear - the fabric is quite delicate and there is some wear on the straps, but they are very wearable and being vintage shoes and properly constructed they are incredible comfortable! These would make amazing wedding shoes for someone who dares to go for something a little bit different.

What's more, they come with their original 1940s box! The box says 'Jolene shoes, styled in Hollywood, worn by the movie stars' with a picture of a Hollywood 40s starlet on the lid - they are worth it for the box alone!

These are fabulous, rare original 1940s shoes in a stunning style and a very hard to find size. They look fantastic with a little vintage tea dress or a sexy pinup or rockabily outfit for that authentic 1940s / 1950s look. Don't miss them.
